Our vision is to create an entirely self-sustaining base, to get involved in local communities via farmers’ markets and outdoor education, to create discipleship opportunities through skill-building seminars, to take tools (such as aquaponics) to countries and villages that lack food and income sources, and so much more.
Focused on the environment and resource stewardship, the Community Development Department aims to educate our students, the local community, and people overseas on the importance of sustainability, while providing hands on experience in skills that will help them utilize available materials to create yield.
Chicken coop construction from lumber we milled, as the chickens grow!
From the same lumber, we will make raised beds for a spring garden.
Composting: All sawdust, food scraps, and chicken waste is collected to create compost for growing organic crops
