Are you passionate about the unreached? Do you want to use the outdoors for ministry?

Many of the remaining unreached people groups in the world live in hard-to-access places, and the outdoors is an amazing platform for discipleship and encountering God. We want to inspire and equip you to use the wilderness in missions around the world! Throughout this 6 week course, we'll explore how to minister through the outdoors in three main areas:

Discipleship in the outdoors
Outdoor business as missions
Physically accessing hard to reach places

While backpacking and rock climbing, we’ll learn technical skills to use in the outdoors and leadership/team dynamics. During the last week of the seminar, you’ll put your skills to use by leading a group backpacking and/or rock climbing.

Meet the Team

Ellie

Ellie grew up in Ohio, where she was called to missions, and fell in love with outdoor ministry in California. She loves thru-hiking, and takes every opportunity to rock climb in Yosemite. She is passionate to equip people to fulfill the great commission!
Ryan

Ryan Unger (responds to “Ryan,” “Unger,” and “hey you!”) is an outdoor ministry extraordinaire, thru-hiker, climber, and van-lifer. He’s always disappearing into the mountains, but he may be around for the seminar! Who knows.
Alex

Alex grew up in the rugged Colorado mountains, where he fell in love with the Lord. He’s done outdoor ministry around the world from New Zealand to Nepal, and is passionate for people to encounter the resurrected Jesus!
Pippin

Pippin grew up in Colorado with Alex. Pippin loves backpacking, though he’s a bit of a wimp when it comes to the cold. He’s passionate about chasing sticks and helping with leftovers.
